A special Channel that becomes a live working document

The Student Journal is a special Channel allocated to each student which will remain active for as long as the student is active. Its purpose is to document the entire student journey throughout multiple school terms, modules, and even different courses.

The journal can be used as a diary by the students to show evidence of work and get feedback from Tutors and Mentors.

Tutors can also use the Journal to proactively challenge the student, suggesting tasks and timelines.
External documents and media can be embedded or uploaded in Posts, in between questions, answers and comments.

The main purpose of the Student Journal is to have a single place to hold everything related to the academic journey of a student, rather than having something in messages, something in shared files, something on external platforms.
This is particularly important when we want to have more than one Mentor / Counsellor involved, so everyone can access the same information easily.

By default, the Student Journal is accessible only to the student who 'owns' the Channel.
Additional members can be added by the student or by any administrator.

IMPORTANT: anything that is written in the journal will be seen by the student and every other member of this channel. If the school wants to maintain notes and documents about the student which are of a sensitive nature, these should be saved in the student's details page.
