A quick overview of everything that does NOT need your immediate attention when setting up Beebop for the first time.

User Groups

Beebop automatically creates special 'smart' user groups for each class, so that the students registered for any module can be easily targeted for messages, event scheduling and file sharing. These groups are 'smart' in the sense that they update automatically to reflect when students are added or removed from a class.

The User Groups component allows the creation and management of additional non-smart groups; see 'User Groups' for more information.

Offers

This module is used to invite prospective students to fill their details online, saving administrators time when registering new students.

The feature is not automatically enabled for new accounts and needs to be activated in School Settings > Advanced > Components.

Announcements

This feature acts as a virtual noticeboard, allowing the creation and scheduling of school-wide announcements.

Notes & Files

Each user can upload files and create personal notes (which can also include images, media, external documents). These can then be shared with other users, and also included in course content, channel posts, messages, etc.

Assets > Equipment

Just as with Facilities, this component lets you create a list of equipment for general asset management (inventory, states of repair) and to enable self-managed online booking for students.

Finance & Invoices

Create printable invoices with payment plans tailored to each student. Beebop will send automatic reminders for payments due and you calculate interest charges where applicable.

Tags Manager

A page to help you manage all the Tags used throughout Beebop (i.e. remove and merge similar tags).

Reports

While each Class has its own Reports section for attendance and grades, the Global Reports tile lets you access reports for the entire school.
