From the main navigation bar, go to Resources. Here, find the School Settings tile.

The full guide about School Settings is in the Administrators documentation; this is just a quick checklist of what is important to configure before inviting the first students to login.

Emails

In the Email section, you can specify the name of the sender as it will appear on emails sent by Beebop (for example, when a student is invited to login for the first time, or when automatic reminders are sent).

Calendar

In the Calendar section, you want to make sure that the time zone corresponds to the location of the school (each user can still adjust their own). If your school has locations in multiple time zones, contact customer support to discuss your requirements.

Also in the Calendar section you can also change the working hours, which will affect the hours displayed in Beebop's calendar. These settings can always be changed later.

All the other settings in the Calendar section can be ignored until you are ready to set up more advanced features.

Advanced

In the Advanced section you can customise Beebop's database for users and assets.

By default, Beebop comes with a number of input fields ready to use, but you may want to rename a few labels, change the order in which they are presented, add more of your own or remove inputs you don't need.

It is important to make these adjustments BEFORE you import a list of users, so that all the necessary data can be included in the import and every record ends up in the correct field, because once the users or assets have been created via an import, the only way to add or change details is by editing each entry one at a time.

Click on the buttons for 'User Databse' and 'Assets Database' to explore what is there and make the necessary adjustments.

Note that the order in which the fields are presented and how they are grouped has no effect on importing data. In other words, you can reorder these fields in a way that makes the page easy to read, and the matching of fields from an external spreadsheet to Beebop's database will be done when performing the import operation.
